leaving and death.

guys guys guys guys guys!

there's a new staff sergeant in stagmont and i kinda like him. he brands himself as a supposed "rebel" and has a very solid character. lolol someone else to identify with.

anyway this is another week that puts the shag in shagmont. (okay actually almost every week is.) i just want to have one week where i can go back to school, play basketball and relive old memories but at this crazy rate that's NEVER going to happen. maybe it should be called sad-mont camp.

everytime i see PJ hippies having fun i get insanely jealous. admittedly it's not very often since we don't get much contact with the outside world (duh) - but what the heck.

oh and i never saw so many drunks in my life before last night. don't know what's the fun in drinking and puking. okay granted alcohol is free in camps but outside it's not? i might as well go stuff myself with good food and puke if i really wanted to puke. though through 19 years of experience i really don't see the fun in puking. or health benefits.

hey but either way it was pretty entertaining - or if you like comical. of course i'm not the sort of bastard who tries to dig out secrets from people when they're drunk.. i'm worse than that. hurhur but obviously i'm not going to mention things here. all there is to say is that you can do lots of things to people when they're drunk.

well but thanks to the stupid drinking session we booked out early today. not that there was much difference booking out on a friday night and on a saturday morning. i mean wth i'd just stay awake up to 3am on friday night to play sanguo. then wake up the next day all shag.

today was an improvement because i slept at 1am (cos there were LOTS OF SNORING WTH). saturday bookouts improve my discipline i must say. they don't come very often but what the heck, that doesn't mean i prefer saturday bookouts to fridays.

well for the record today was a good day. (okay stupid comment it's always good out here.) i went to give myself a good workout by swimming a grand total of.. 40 laps. lol wasn't really an imba lot, but i figured i shouldn't tire myself out too much. plus i wanted to be early for lunch.

speaking of which NO ONE came early. i am very reminded of myself during the JC days haha. luckily i've had more than enough experience from army so haha it wasn't that bad since i got to finish half a library book. though i just found out i didn't absorb much but whateverrr.

august was a month for the US-bound people leaving, and september is the UK month i guess. sucks to have people disappear one by one, even though they aren't exactly a daily feature in your life. (something much more revolting is.) i can't say i'm in an emo mood but i'm not pleased at all. oh no no no.

one of the library books i borrowed was "how to live forever or die trying". it sounds pretty interesting and the blurb sounded like the book was unputdownable so i borrowed it. big mistake.

now i find it DAMN BORING because it's non-fiction and the thing about non-fiction is that they repeat points so as to make the book look thick. if you don't believe it go buy a non-fiction book, you'll find that it's mostly true.

apparently the author believes its possible to attain medical immortality. like medicine is now so advanced those young ones now (i assume, myself) can live forever. but sad case for those who are currently in their twilight years. or maybe it's a good thing, because they were talking about living forever.

i was thinking what's so bad about living forever - because there are always things to do. if the argument goes that life forever has no meaning, then you can say the same of your life now: NO MEANING. meaning has to be created by yourself. so i say live forever.

then there's the religious debate about how we aren't meant to live forever. well last i checked i don't think there's any god that put an age restriction on living. is jeanne calment going to hell for living up to 122? i doubt it, not for the age thing anyway. and that's assuming hell exists.

if it doesn't well DAMN IT we're all going down a huge dark black void. forever. i don't see (literally and otherwise) what the shit is the meaning in that. and it scares me like hell to know that i'd die someday. maybe your ideas change when you're old, maybe you get resigned to the fact that everyone dies, but well you medical researchers have gotta hurry up.

and if i live forever maybe i would sign on for a few years. sorry no i take that back.

today in the papers they reported that grouper is going to become extinct so we should eat less of it. damn stupid. eating less is not the solution to prevent extinction, it's pollution. but looking at the way society advances nowadays looks like its not really possible, so we might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

if everyone is going to live forever we gotta have more fish around. either that or soon there will be fish manufacturing factories. we need to start making fish live forever. or conduct silly orientation games sponsored by the fish equivalent of SDU. since fishes travel about in SCHOOLS.

anyway that brings me to my next point. dumbass uni orientation games. dang there are so many exciting things in the papers nowadays but i don't get to rant properly so now you get weekend verbal diarrhoea.

i thought JC orientation games were kinda retarded. coming from someone in the orientation comm it might sound retarded, but you gotta admit they have no point. promoting bonding is one thing but bordering on stupidity is another. hello isn't it obvious sometimes that the stupid games they have is just for the seniors' amusement?

the pushups thing is just stupid. whether for a forfeit or for a game it's damn pr0n and the writers were darn right to complain. well doesn't take a genius to expound on the stupidity of the whole shit so i won't bother. this is wasting my precious bookout time.

oh and anyway i think its about time i stopped multi-tasking. look, i'm really bad at this. i'm like watching tv, reading sanguo hacks and trying to give commentaries on current events all at once.

it's true we all have 24 hours a day, but say if i spend that 24 hours doing three things at once it's as good as 72 hours a day. granted the things that are done might not be done as well, but yet again.. what the heck.

okay i figure i better stop this incoherency. j2 prelims are beginning and that's a good sign for me - i'm seeing the end of the officer cadet course. i mean i've always been staring at the end but maybe, just maybe, before i know it i'll be standing on the parade square.

I NEED INSPIRATION MAN.

(and the bloody flooble tagboard just shut itself down because i don't read my junk mail. next time if anyone reads this trash just post some trash on the tagboard please.)

navy seals ftw!~
