social night.

apparently one of the highlights in an officer cadet's life in service term is the social night where the cadets get to show their gentlemanly side (after all that charging in the battlefield, yea right) and they bring along their lovely ladies dressed in cocktail dresses (like wtf is that).

go read the ocs website if you want more information. it's fricking funny the way they put it but to me it's just a great big joke. that is because this social night shit is inserted in the programme such that there is STILL training the next day. and if you 断章取义 it's a night event which means SHAGNESS the next day.

another point of contention to have social night NOT is that we have to plan it ourselves. which probably means it would be a great cock up. i'm very skeptical about plans having to be formulated in terribly busy conditions. it's not like we have alot of time to plan = cock up.

and finally we're going to have the thing in the cadets' mess. aka in safti. what sort of a fucked up atmosphere would that create, may i ask? you'd have to get your dates to come in and that's a shit load of hassle. plus i like to spend all my free time at wingline so walking over to the mess would be nothing short of a mega disaster.

of course my biggest problem is not being able to find a date. and anyway even if i had one i wouldn't bring her to social night like some trophy or prize. that's what i feel it fucking is, because you're bloody obligated to bring someone.

i feel its an ultimate insult (to the girls), the way people like to show off their gfs at the event or something. it's like what the fuck and i feel like spamming stronger nouns but i think that would be highly inappropriate so forget it.

call me jealous or unsporting but i'm not going to waste my time on this shit. sierra wing had a survey and almost the whole of platoon 2 objected to this nonsense because we'd rather have some rest honestly. to that i fully agree.

cheers to a great platoon.

navy seals ftw!~
