civilian!

ahh it feels great to be seated in my cosy chair with my old silvery specs, wearing my casio watch and having my trusty nokia handphone next to me.

pity about the hair though.

i paid $10 to get it shaved to no.3 just because i missed the shaving session yesterday la. wa lau the downsides of attend C. but not like it matters. i just made the barber happy and in the festive season its always good to make people happy.

actually it's good to make people happy ANYTIME.

back to the topic anyway. no unfortunately i haven't ORD yet but that will come in a matter of months so don't worry i will be really free soon. just that as of now it seems like i've been given a breather with the festive season coming right up.

joyous occasion indeed - i have never looked forward to any new year more than this one. and so to celebrate cny, i decided to go for an image revamp and return to my civilian self. which includes jaywalking at the junction. you can't really jaywalk at tekong because there aren't any traffic lights even though there are vehicles.

okay i was just kidding. i'm a good citizen.

it's almost been a month since i willingly (yes haha) joined the SAF and some parts of my life seem very unreal now. they say NSmen come out more mature and i think i've changed since i've gone in. not necessarily for the better.

this is useless chatter and anyway the main idea of posting today is to wish everyone HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR. it's going to be a nice year ahead and may all our dreams come true!

it feels very different looking through my silver specs now. when i looked into the mirror i don't think i recognised myself. that's random but totally true. haha what has army done!

i don't think i've totally transformed into a sl33k fitness machine because i fell sick -.-" while others saw great leaps in their IPPT performances, and our company had like many many golds this time.

well i'm happy for those who made those improvements. esp JIE LIANG who's now the talk of the.. leopardtown. talk of the company. whatever he did us all proud by shaving more than 2 minutes off his 2.4km timing. wth man wth.

things can only get better from here. (read: bmt ends soon.)

i shall enjoy my 3 civilian days :) and so shall everyone who is going for field camp right after the first two days of new year. only when you have gone through the most screwed up phases of life ever possible in singapore..

..that's when you learn to appreciate normality.

and even the act of taking a stroll to the nearby provision shop..

..can seem like bliss to you.

for slogging my guts out on the other days, i think i have well earned my right to freedom for these few days. warrant cheng said sth to that effect, and i think i am starting to believe him.

navy seals ftw!~

恭贺大家新年快乐,万事如意,心想事成!
