children's day.
this joyous occasion is getting me to reminisce about those good ole 4j days.
i still remember when the whole class walked along to assembly singing the song, we sang it in the hall, we sang it on the way back to class while earning a "wth" stare by mrs neoh. it was all in good fun, though unfortunately none of the other classes had the spontaneity nor the balls to join in the singing with us.
having read an article about jose mourinho yesterday, i shall start some shameless bragging now that i have so quickly learnt from the master, THE SPECIAL ONE. but what i just described in the last paragraph is basically what is the difference between 4j and THE REST - because we are spontaneous and anyhow.
you don't get this brand of anyhowism in other classes, especially if you've too many prefects or prudes in the class. of course, needless to say, behind it all you need a fantastic leader who is willing to come up with the idea and to engineer it to success. let x be equals to yj. i'm sorry if it sounds arrogant, but the way we left the school awed just reeked of brilliance.
all right, and come to think of it, that friday was also the last day where the canteen was open? or at least, one of the last days. we had free ice cream from the teachers, i remember vividly. lilian wong came to our class during recess and praised us, though supposedly we were making such a racket in class that we could be heard in the staffroom.
now that was beyond normal standards, for even if we did play footy in class on a normal day, our exuberance wouldn't reach past the philo container. that day was magical, and i have no intention of hiding the fact that it was my proudest day as monitor of class 4j.
after all that, what are we left with this year?
nothing. because promos are here and it hasn't ended for some. we thought it would set a trend, perhaps this year we could continue the singing. but no, it has culminated into nothing. i wouldn't say i am sad or disappointed, i've learnt to accept that 4j is no longer there. we are classmates no longer.
i still feel that children's day should be celebrated.
thus i'm going to play neopets.
and let the world celebrate children's day. no matter how old you grow, you can always consider yourself a child if you want to. i am BOY, and i will not hide that fact. despite all your saying that i might be immature and all, i'm enjoying life as it is.
although i might have to soon plan how to spend post-promos. it hurts wasting away 3 days doing nothing, but strangely i got a feeling when i wake up tomorrow i'll feel revitalised.
yup whatever.
children's day ftw!~
