spicks and specks.

every graduate of rj, no sorry i meant ri(jc), would surely "feel old" upon returning to our old hunting ground back in bishan. or at least that's how it seemed to me. those with 7 or 8 As would term it the "mugging ground". for some it was the "dating ground". no issues there.

it doesn't matter what you used to do in rj, because now it's all over. another occasion where we all start feeling old is when we have an old gathering of friends. which was what happened on a warm saturday night (last night lol). the "über 4j reunion" registered a total of 11 people turning up, out of the total strength of 33.

which was wtfkingly BAD?! but then again we've had our fair share of geniuses studying overseas (read: james miao) and some who "simply cannot be bothered" to put it in chandy terms. then some of us, ARGH I DUNNO, maybe i didn't inform them. haha shit.

so the attendance was bad, but the company wasn't. because among our attendees we had tumnus turn up which is OWNAGE. i must say we all missed him quite a fair bit and despite it being highly unprobable and unlikely he still grew more macho overseas. must be the american lifestyle + food. he's amazing.

but actually it was just amazing to see so many of us again. i mean seeing cz so many times is fking boring HAHAHA (joking in case you're reading this shit) but it was good catching up with the rest. and to cap off our 4th anniversary we watched our class video again. which was emo. but good.

as my time in army gets longer i find that words fail me more and more often. so to give a precise description would be rather impossible now, rather in army jargon the gathering was simply "fucking good understand". though the rest need to wake up their idea.

anyway for the gathering we hung out abit at the SMU underground, and i just remembered a super imba tumnus quote that i just had to put down. basically there was this group of guys and girls sitting in a circle not too far away from our lepak corner and they were doing the usual orientation shit i suppose.

tumnus: "omg it's one of those boys-touch-girls games again"

the tone. the matter-of-fact relevation. left us all in mirth. i want 4j back i want 4j back NOW.

then of course we discussed what we had the strongest feeling about. WOFT CLUB. we took turns to rant and kezhong initiated the question of the night: WHY DOES TIME PASS SO QUICKLY???

it didn't take long before we all burst out spontaneously "fuck ***!" and a slew of vulgarities ensued. it was absurd but absolutely 4j. well in the old days after we made our class videos we were like "when we look back we'd wonder what the fuck we were doing" and true enough, four years on, what the fuck were we doing?!

unlike a few others i don't see the need to publicise the videos. so its gonna stay in my com. it's great shit and i enjoy watching it from time to time. though admittedly it makes me EMOOOO more given the current situation we were in. there's no need to do a poll to find out whether our secondary school days, JC days or army days were the worst.

this is where army wins HANDS DOWN.

so we can't stop ranting about army. and my blog has to constantly mention that shroud over my life. very sickening.

today was a low-key day. i didn't do much except hang around at home, pray for time to pass quickly (and smoothly) and learning how to cook. now there's nothing exceptional about that, because i get hungry very often and i get broke very often.

hungry + broke = not a good combi. so i decided to learn how to cook. unlike most blogs i've seen i'm not gonna upload any fucking photos of the process because if i really wanted to cook properly i wouldn't have time to snap pictures of the process right? okay maybe i'm just damn lousy at multi-tasking.

today's cooking wasn't a full-blown learning process though, as all the raw materials were already prepared and accounted for. that's why even if the food tasted good the credit definitely didn't belong to me. also i was just following instructions - what a soldier does best.

but AT LEAST i've progressed to level 3. level 1 being instant noodles prior to enlistment. level 2 being combat ration which i've picked up in the army. all of which taste great given the nature of the food. or OOPS i meant level 1 food, not level 2.

so that's what i've been up to. spicks and specks of life.

now as you can imagine after a week of block leave i'm feeling absolutely shitty going back to camp. as wiseman jeremy ling says "i shouldn't go on" before this blog gets flooded with angst.

take each fucking day as it fucking comes!

(don't think i needed to mention the anti-vulgarity scheme is off. OFF. OFF! after much mixing with 4j i realised vulgarities makes the world a funnier place.)

154 more days.
