whoopeedidoo!~
wa seldom am i so happy!
usually i could be just like, happy happy but today i am HAPPPPPY EXTREMELY OVER THE MOON and the milky way and the solar system and YAHOOO YO! i feel like i'm owning the world despite getting my arse whooped for like, almost the whole of today.
i say almost, because like how west ham cannot lose all the time, NEITHER CAN I. anyway this is going to be a highly infectious happy spam exclamation marks post so read on at your own risk! yay!
wednesday! gp ct! okay i woke up just to get there 10 mins before the examination but that was enough. i had an okay amount of sleep, and i guess i was feeling all right. my essay was kinda jokes if you read it LOL but that was one of the most enjoyable 1.5 hours i had actually doing gp. and this time, gp can stand for more than one thing, i'll let you figure out.
although i didn't write it on the essay (in case i do badly it's fricking lao kui).. i will declare openly here that the gp ct2 essay i did on the 23rd may 2007, wednesday is dedicated to mr chandru mirpuri, my sec 4 maths teacher and still my inspiration up to today. though of course with his diminishing influence my maths is currently uh.. abit screwed.
but never mind! sin graphs has its ups and downs too! end of sec 4 was an up! now its a down! so come to A levels it'll be up again! hurray!
gp compre was jokes cos i had no time to finish. but i'm used to getting my arse kicked for gp compres so uh, yay! went for lunch with pcb. or rather they went to eat while i stoned. they bitched a little about the unreasonable auntie at s11 but i'm not gonna mention insignificant details because.. it's not important. and i'm in a good mood!
uh so we hung around the place a bit while it rained. i went back to school to take bus to netball girls! and yay we pwnt!!! 53-42 woots! (and apparently i got featured in the paper today looking totally spastic and retarded like i usually do LOL)
but HEY shit that was a good result. think rj now fricking imba rugby win netball win heard today hockey win soccer also win, baskit even waterpolo so elusive also win. now see whether swimming win. knn whatever sport i join also always jinx. not happy. waterpolo last time never win then x-country only second. next time i join your sport you watch out! haha.
de toute façon (anyway), that is not important! what was important was that i somehow was high during netball and went kinda crazy cheering. i don't know why nowadays suddenly so high and ANYHOW. lol the hci girls quite violent lo. some were so man then anyhow whack. dislike!
btw i think the netball score abit like ihc only our lead bigger lol. and i realise ihc is an anagram of hci. yay!
well then i went home before 5pm for the first time in 2 years of jc life and shitz that felt good too! had an early shower before studying for h3 maths and watching tv5 (both of which were highly ineffective, as today proves but i'll come to that later). until 1030! then come online! talk abit! then sleep!
woke up today feeling good cos NO NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL! self-declare break yeaaa then go newton take dalf. i felt kinda sian upon reaching nearer the building but the thought of (not going to) school soon cheered me up. we started with listening, always the killer component.
for my past exams in delf, my listening is the only consistent component. 13/25. consistently low, that is. this time the guy talking seemed to want to beat the fking french train (TGV) speed record of 485.2 km/h (if i'm not wrong). if you want to hear it nice and short, i got whooped.
i think yl and i were trying to copy each other but in any case i didn't think it was useful cos the blind leading the blind, in the end RESISTANCE IS FUTILE. so went on to comprehension which we thought would be our saving grace..
..but HELL NO. with 50 mins and with a 220-liner text that could fit into my french courseworks (note the plural), i think the odds were definitely against us. wth what's more their MCQ is like 1.5 marks? damn scary to put a tick la.
and well unlike listening where they read the passage twice and once (there were 2 passages), i was supposed to have unlimited access to the passage. but it was all fricking useless as my weaknesses in the language was showing all over the place. i ended up filling crap everywhere until time was up.
and i hadn't even finished filling up my crap. according to my teacher afterwards my script was full of grammatical errors so WTH. it couldn't even make sense. and thanks a lot monsieur you really killed my confidence. but hell! it's over! and that was $160 probably down the drain!
oh but anyway in case you thought the 2 components (listening and compre) marked the end of my suffering for the morning you were wrong. that was less than half. there was of course, composition like our dear gp paper the previous day. it's called the rédact and well, there were 2 to do! a synthesis.. and an expository! like wth.
(and frick yup the expository was a letter to the press. shitz. if you'd asked me to do it in english i'd baulk.)
AND TMD yl and i had a choice between arts and sciences. we thought that arts might potentially kick our arses in case french literature and the likes of Baudelaire C came out to speak greek poetry. so we chose sciences.
all i can say is that BAD ONE. apparently those that did arts topic had SOCIAL ISSUES. while i had to debate about fricking maize and its components.. how it affects the soil, how the amines and proteins within it can actually be useful for GREEN CHEMISTRY. oh fricking dear.
it's like my chemistry sucks and my french isn't exactly that good, put them together you get a really flustered me on a bad morning. for 2h30min i struggled uncomfortably and i think i managed to piece together a few random words strung together to make an out of point essay.
i muttered "fuck" more than once that morning. and i don't think i regretted any of them because seriously YOU TRY TAKING THE PAPER. it was at least 10 times worse than moelc's A level paper, no kidding. i could have cried if not for the fact that i'm not THAT much of a wuss.
went for lunch with yl and mass vent frustration while pigging out on chicken. the cashier gave me $2 extra change. i didn't bother to return it because i thought i'd need it to retake dalf c1. like seriously, fricking hell i was just distraught and feeling conked. dead.
went back to school and stoned in council room trying to study for h3 maths. needless to say it wasn't very fruitful because i thought i alr knew everything. the mood in the council room seemed pretty much the opposite of how i was feeling but i was trying my best to make everyone depressed and that the world was fking screwed up.
i failed, of course. no one's stupid enough to take french for so many years, not be damn good at it and then come trying for a diploma probably beyond his reach and then start bitching and complaining about it.
h3 test owned me. i think it owned yihong too. i ended up copying proofs from the paper. you can check out my workings it all probably made perfect sense to woodbridgers.
(1) Using a ruler and a tri-square..
(2) AB // EF (shown)
yay! plane geometry!
and i failed graph theory with an absolute U. wow big surprise there. after which i went to j8 to stuff myself silly before going back for the final battle. which i believe i might have told some of you that i had no bloody mood to even return to that shitass building which gave me so much torture, so much pain for the morning.
and now at 5:40pm i was back for the finale. i swore to do my fricking best and at least get every dollar of the $160 worth back. come on it cost even more than sats, and i want employment in france.
(though i think that's damn hard, since unemployment in france is hitting record high and if i were to get a job, the locals will slaughter me for being foreigner who poach and kope their jobs. and since i complain about foreigners here i cannot anyhow.)
oh not like they'll hire me with my level of french anyway. i can imagine myself in france.
monsieur: yadayadayada.. hein?
moi: pardon?
mademoiselle: fakwevjionjlbvowerghuo, n'est-ce pas?
moi: pardon? est-ce que vous pouvez répeter?
we went up to the 4th floor and hung around. surprisingly yl and i had the same fked up oral timing at 7pm. we were THE LAST ONES. so we went in at 6pm to be greeted by a singaporean chinese who could be called nicolas anelka (frenchie!) cos she had an INCREDIBLE SULK.
tmd dunno why she so sulky. we tried going in early then kena chased out and asked to wait by the lift. i tried speaking a little bit of french. i had to. i was whacking chocolate and drinking water so i could calm down a little. so much ($160) was at stake. no joke.
the water and chocolate soon took their toll as i accumulated phlegm and started to need to piss while in the preparation room. so i had to leave halfway and ask the sulky woman for permission, and by the way she spoke no french or didn't appear to speak any.
so i wasted preparation time. when i came back she kinda gave me a shock when she said i was preparing the wrong topics (or rather she gave me the wrong ones, like wth la.) though later she said i could just stick to the one i prepared so HENGGGG ar. wa lau its like i was getting nervous and the influx of people coming in and out didn't really help.
but thank goodness ohh my examiners were fantastic. i think i smiled at them a lot and tried to give a few personal experiences that they were quite uh, amused and happy. or at least i hope they were. in the end they even talked to me about studying in france and stuff, and about considering my options for the future. man i love french natives. very nice. I LIKE!
when you think about it and reflect - or at least i did.. these are the people who make you want to continue french. they are the people whom you gain your encouragement from. after this morning i was like thinking "shit, 5 years taking a subject for nothing". but the lovely pair tonight gave me new-found hope. i see the light at the end of the french tunnel!
anyway considering my trashy performance this morning i think i finally avoided getting whooped in the evening. i couldn't take beatings from morning to night. (boosted my chances of passing overall too.) finally something to cheer about, so i'm here on blogger to whoop and YAYYYY, ALL THE WAYYYY!
yup i am indeed very happy. no work for tonight!
partayyy time!
dalf c1 ftw!~
