whizzing by.

i'm doing a lot of housework nowadays - and by that no i don't mean bayley-waddle house work, like think maid housework. and of course it's not voluntary, i'm a good boy and good boys play computer games.

rawr gg rage thanks to all the days i come home late, i'm forced to do my own laundry (scrub white shirts that aren't so white) and wash up EVERYTHING after i eat my usually 1-or-2-hours-late dinner. i think it's cos the first time my mum was too tired to do it she got me to finish up everything myself and after she found out that i could clean out the sink beautifully.. she just conveniently allocated the job to me.

i don't think this is a cause to complain, but it's thanks to this new routine that i'm sleeping later every night. i don't care if you call it justification, i guess it's probably so. but uh. it's not a routine i like because time is going by faster and faster.

maths today was slack, econs was worrying because jason teo decided that he had enough of the nonsense i was producing and demanded to see my parents at ptm (frick). pe was dumb cos we played soccer with a.. foam ball? as a result it flew around easily and it was quite comical, but dumb nevertheless. was in the same team as yh, danny (polo boys!), zhanyuan and aaron for a change. yup it was good playing out of class for a while because danny scored all the stupid, stupid goals.

monopoly during break right before (mock) chem spa skill a. guess we all are tired of mugging. i was talking cock about whacking mock spa and in the end i finished the whole thing in 30 mins in MY OWN FORMAT. i think i'll scrape a pass but shit, that was quite a lot of rubbish i wrote. safety considerations included one that said "do not drink any chemicals at any time". no la no.

i spent the last 15 mins of the test doing maths tutorial 12 (p&c), and i even drew pictures to prove how bored i was. managed to do half of basic questions haha.

gp was rather.. pointless as uma just went through our marks, didn't even bother going thru the damn paper since yea we were all kinda dead anyway. she spared the humiliation of displaying marks on screen - but she did talk to us one by one as we went up to check our grades. all died for CA.

however, she also did tell me that i was capable of producing an A (i feel so relieved and full of worth now). and despite the improvement in my compre, she expected more from my essay. well what could i say, i thought i was doing my best already. as if i had come full circle, the essay i wrote for promos was similar to what i wrote for the diagnostic test at the start of the year.

and i got the exact same score - 29/50. only that while my diagnostic test essay managed to somehow top the class and be a confidence booster, this same mark for promos only meant i'm screwed and it would take shit loads more if i'm ever to make it to an A for gp.

guess that means work for gp during the hols as well?

great expectations, and i'm finding trouble living up to it.

did a whole lot of random crap after class, and at 6 the house caps went for informal meeting at macs. i was skeptical about david's "informal meetings about house" because if the agenda was house, it couldn't very well be informal could it?

but credit to david, this session was really quite.. informal. like we didn't exactly discuss house stuff ALL THE TIME, we did manage to sidetrack a bit about certain people's scandals and uh talk some cock. i like.

an interesting bit from the meeting (at macs lol) was when some ntu fags were doing their version of pw and they gave us their surveys to do. i almost laughed in disbelief when i saw the whole survey was about SEX. needless to say, i gave loads of crap answers and i will not reveal the identity of the house cap who indicated in his/her survey that "if abstinence does not work, it's okay to have sex as long as it's safe." (or something to that effect LOL)

i did mention that i learnt more about sex through my.. council vice-president, who happened to be sitting at the same table as me. i guess we really did have some fun doing crap surveys. please don't tell me we'd have to do project stuff during uni, i'm kinda tired of formulating surveys every year, except maybe this year where i only did one or two questions for my pw =X

anyway, as the dinner (or meeting, if you like) wore on, we started a little on what we've done. like AS USUAL we're always reflecting. then it was mentioned that our term is flying past (i think i said it) and suddenly i started feeling powerless and useless again. we're all thinking like, what have i done for the house? and the answer always seems to be NOTHING NOTHING YOU USELESS BUM.

i don't know if the other house caps reflected that, but i'm really not doing anything. except that now there is a little something going on thanks to reuben's LEMON TEA DRINKING COMPETITION. which btw is next wednesday at canteen, bw or not just come for fun ftw. winner gets more lemon tea "in the festive spirit of lemon tea drinking".

feeling slightly better? i can only hope that things get less cluttered.

i told david about function spamming, and that we don't get much space to tinker with our own initiatives. then the issue about not working well with your house d also came out. now this was where it got tricky because tmd it appears like MY house d is having the most problems with unity.

and much as i'd like to say that everything is under control (and i will say it), i don't know why others are seeing the cracks in our system. the internal crumbling when funnily enough i'm not exactly feeling it. i don't know if you'd call it denial, but perhaps the problem hasn't been blown big enough. so far, i guess we're having a "functional relationship" which means we just work well together but other than that.. nothing.

and i decline to comment if that's a good thing or not.

shit i'm really into the flow of things now. i'm literally regurgitating every single thing from the meeting argh. bottom line is, why the hell is time whizzing by so fast? half our term is gone, and the other half looks to be gone even faster. especially when we're working. i think that i'm slowly beginning to see the lighter and more sensible side of council, not the fricking "saikang monsters" and all that "rafflesian spirit".

we all know that any trace or vestige of a "rafflesian spirit" is just next door to our beloved school compound. the school is a dead place and i don't foresee it changing it unless we really meng house system and make everyone super proud of their house. which of course is possible but might take a while to achieve.

in the space of six months i'd say it's 50-50.

exciting plans of the year abound, i think i'd better stop here. there are just too many things to say and to think about, and i'd never end if i continue. this post is getting long, and there are too many things i want to do tonight. forget the p&c tutorial, forget any other thing. i'll toss my bag aside and just go gaming.

sometimes when you come back tired after everything and after doing all that housework, all you really need is just GAMES. not to type some lengthy post on your blog.

thus i will stop here.

but not without mentioning that playing chinese chess with yl, cz, peter and kenneth kong today was quite amusing. like those mugging days where we'd "mug" and anyhow about, today was kind of a perfect example. knn they pangseh tell me want to leave then end up hanging around till six. nevertheless today was fun la.

okay i think i've mentioned my point.

now off to games.

navy seals ftw!~

(edit - today had verification of results. i can't emphasise on how fricking pissed i am. chem jacked from b to c, fine. french got dragged down from b to c by CA, fine. and now GP also got dragged down by CA from b to c?! BLOODY HELL. that's all my Bs turned into Cs.

you'll C what they all should B when you see how CB hard i work. no pun intended, just a lot of rage but i know i can do nothing about it. try harder next time i guess. and meanwhile contend with CCC instead of BBB -.-)
