silver lining.
i'm in many ways a typical human. on monday i curse that my life sucks and start pondering about its meaning. when friday comes i start whooping and blaring that life could never have been better.
in the middle of the week, i found inspiration (sadly) in a schadenfreude kind of way. whenever you feel down, look at someone worse off than you. i found that person at orchard road on wednesday morning. i've even attached the picture.
despite having to deal with a 332-liner expense, i somehow managed to smile.
it's like how i could smile after being turned out at sierra wing when i found out the delta instructors were playing frisbee with the cadets' field pack items.
I AM SORRY I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO FEEL HAPPY
but if i don't feel happy no one is going to do it for me.
and i'm uber surprised that i forgot to post about my imba laptop deal. like super finally i got my own laptop (okay not really super finally, considering i wasn't even thinking of getting one). and its specs are total ownage.
$990 for i5, 4gb RAM and 500GB HDD. nvidia graphics. and one million free items.
like maybe:
laptop bag
some cooler fan
some portable multi drive
mouse
mousepad
speakers
thumbdrive
trend micro
keyboard skin
i'm a tech noob, so i don't even know what half the items are for. but it's free. in fact i wasn't even looking at a laptop when i went to pc show last thursday. i was purely motivated by boredom, and perhaps getting a digital camera.
well, well, what a twist of fate. when jz looked at laptops i got interested. in the following three days i read more reviews and pc stats than i ever did in my whole life.
it paid off. but now i'm too busy to operate the fking laptop. once i get it up, i'll have a new addiction. better to get addicted now than when school reopens.
my discipline is at its nadir again.
but heck it's friday and i'm happy.
