RAWRRR
1 hour 45 minutes.
i'll never take public transport for granted again. NEVER EVER NEVERRRRRRR!
when you're in the mood and when you've got the momentum, nothing can possibly stop you! on wednesday i thought i'd totally lost my ability to run long distances, so i ran one 38-min run to serangoon to prove myself wrong. okay well done. then thursday and coach punished us (actually me cos i run slow) with a 90-min run to macritchie and back. fine which was my longest run up to date so it was a new record. i thought i would just lay off a bit.
but today i got bored so i shattered that record. 105-min run to sembawang give or take because i didn't exactly count second for second. and WTH when i finished my whole shirt was soaked, as was my shorts, and even my socks were wet!
ZOMGGG I LIKE IT!
hahaha and following my tradition of not bringing money, i went to borrow 2 bucks from mq who was having fun doing his chem focus. i was seriously dying when i reached sun plaza man, but seeing endpoint GAVE ME ENERGY!! (better than bloody titration where after every drop added it's a mystery if you're getting there) so went to zam my way up the field leading there (ie sun plaza) and that concluded my arduous journey. hell.
when you're bored you tend to do stupid things. or at least i do. anyway despite a very strong temptation to i shall not bore the few people reading my blog with those silly details. like how long bloody upp thomson road can get uh. ya. okay i shall not talk about that.
after getting my precious $2 from mq (aka lifesaver) i went to sun plaza to find a toilet to change up. which was kinda stupid since i could have done it at mq house. but anyway the toilets were all SUPER filthy, and it just put me off. i couldn't even bear to step in there, much less change up. okay so i went upstairs in search of a better toilet. this one was marginally better, considering there wasn't crap on the floor. though it stank all the same.
so i began changing up and washing my sweaty shirt and oops suddenly the door opened and a father and his son (i presume) walked in. okay you could claim that was normal but i think his son was kinda urgent. ie he was in a rush to pee/shit. well the father said in chinese “脱裤,脱裤” which meant to take off his pants. which fair enough, was normal enough in a toilet.
then next thing i heard him tell his son “l** j*** 放那边”and i was like WTF I AM SURE HE'S SAYING THAT TO HIS SON?! talk about teens being more vulgar nowadays, i think the parents should start conducting their own reflection. yep true i'm always against reflections and all that shat, but when you hear fathers speaking of the male anatomy in dialect you tend to think abit.
but not for long in that stinky toilet. soon i popped by ntuc to buy almost 3 litres worth of liquid to pump and hydrate myself. spamming water feels good man~
and actually there isn't much to say already. except that i'm very happy that i broke my own record for running yay! REMEMBER: everything is within walking distance. if walking is too impractical because it takes too long, then RUN for goodness sake!
before i leave, here's some acknowledgements. 1) my coach mr quek, for convincing me that fats can make you last long distances. i will remember that forever. 2) the bee gees, who formed my playlist and was with me for the bulk of my journey. i wasn't listening to mp3 but it's all in the mind. 3) myself, without whom this journey would not have been made possible.
say what you like. i'm downright proud of myself.
i'll decide the next destination soon HOO!
now back to chem and my quest for the top 20!
to alkyl halides and beyond!
navy seals ftw!~
